We can talk through your requirements for the space, your aspirations and the mood you would like to create. Equally if you have no idea where to begin I can show you a portfolio of pictures and photographs that may inspire you and we can go from there.
Collecting pictures of schemes you find attractive is a great place to start and helps me to understand and interpret your taste. Sometimes a design can be built around a single item of furniture or a piece of artwork that you already have.
I am often asked to link the internal space to the external space to give a sense of flow, but equally the inside can have one look and the garden can be seen as a retreat and have a distinctly different feel.
Following our meeting I will send you a letter outlining what we have discussed,, to ensure I have understood the brief, with an idea of the costs involved in producing mood boards and scaled plans, all based on an hourly rate.
As with the garden design I am there to help you make all the big decisions about fabrics, paint and floor treatments as the choices can sometimes feel overwhelming.
If you have already selected your fabrics but simply need help with choosing suitable paint colours, then I can easily do that.
The mood board will give you all the information you need to complete the scheme and you can always contact me should you need further advice.
I can also produce bespoke pieces of artwork to compliment the scheme, as I have in the past, and I sometimes work with artists and photographers to produce something unique and special that may become the focal point of the room.
